RMT (Rhythmic Movement Training) is a unique sensorineural therapy that has its origins in the early 1980s on the work of Kerstin Linde, a Swedish movement therapist who developed the first rhythmic movement exercises by observing motor patterns. repetitive to young children. Her work was then validated and developed by the clinical work of Dr. Harald Blomberg, psychiatrist, then by that of Moira Dempsey, a remarkable kinesiologist of international reputation and founder of RMTI (Rhythmic Movement Trainiing International).

The method is now taught to all kinds of professionals (chiropractors, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, osteopaths and others) all over the world. It was created to promote the integration of fierce primitive reflexes in children.

It was founded to support in a holistic, positive and completely natural way babies or children with challenges of all kinds (irritability, sleep, anxiety, postures, language, writing, learning, hypersensitivity, ADD, ASD, motor skills, emotions, etc.).

This practice is growing in more than 27 countries and is of interest to a growing number of health professionals.

The approach consists of giving the body soft and pleasant rhythmic cradles in different positions that imitate the sequences of "reflex" and spontaneous movements of infants and very young children. These movements take place directly on the floor, on a yoga mat or on a chiropractic / massage therapy table. These sequences are fundamental in the development of the young baby because it is they which will make it possible to trace, step by step, all the neuronal connections of the brain that the child and then the adult will need to function optimally in the world. Motor and postural control, emotional, visual and language development and cognitive skills among others effectively depend to a large extent on neuronal networking acquired through sensory stimulation of reflexes.

We quickly understand the impact that the different forms of interference that the baby may have encountered, thus preventing him from performing certain sequences of reflex movements in sufficient quantity to obtain an optimal neuronal connection: for example the child who has not been carried enough in the arms, who has little or no crawling or who has little or no crawling. Thanks to cerebral plasticity which allows the brain to be able to continue neuronal connections, even in adulthood, the RMT method makes it possible to target and then reproduce possible “missed” movements.

The method also integrates other proven techniques such as isometric pressures, stretching, tapping or visual training for example. The objective of this global training aims at the stimulation then the maturation and the balancing of the primitive reflexes of the early childhood and allow the baby or the child (or even the adult) to develop neuronal connections and internal resources. deep and effective.

BENEFITS OF INTEGRATION OF PRIMITIVE REFLEXES

Good all life, from 0 to 111 years old!

Baby and child will naturally develop a large amount of neural connections as they move actively and abundantly and explore the natural world and all the sensations it brings. The RMT (Rhythmic Movement Training) method makes it possible to target very specifically the "key" movements of neuronal and bodily development, it is like a "concentrate". By combining the benefits of neurosensory stimulation provided by these concentrated movements and those of nature, we put in place an extremely solid foundation in the child. We simply allow it to deploy its full potential!

In young babies , these stimulations can make it possible to "wake up" reflexes which are little or insufficiently activated or to calm stress reflexes which are too dominant and which can cause irritability, intense needs, difficulty falling asleep or breastfeeding. , muscle stiffness and tension, difficulty accessing crawling or "all fours" or excessive crying, to name a few.

In preschool children , these stimuli can promote the full development of gross and fine motor skills, emotions, expression and language, the capacity for concentration and attention, imagination and the will in active free games, to name a few.

In school-aged children , these stimuli will, in addition to the benefits mentioned above, support the learning of reading, writing, sports and music, problem solving, autonomy , organization and reflection, to name a few.

In general, the integration of reflexes and abundant contact with nature promotes in humans of all ages a reduction in restlessness, hypersensitivity and impulsivity, a decrease in stress levels and anxiety and an increase in self-confidence, focus, collaboration, creativity and feelings of satisfaction. Although useful for all ages, and just as much for adults as for children, the consultation service that I offer here is only for babies, children and adolescents. Adults who are interested in exploring the approach can visit the official website to find one.  certified consultant nearby. See the button below.

YOUR FIRST CONSULTATION IN INTEGRATION OF PRIMITIVE REFLEXES

What to expect

A certified RMT consultant with several years of practice with a variety of children with various problems such as autism disorder, attention disorder, opposition disorder, vision and language disorders , obsessive-compulsive disorder, congenital torticollis, dyslexia, anxiety and anxiety disorders, irritability, difficulty sleeping and  learning, coordination, gross motor skills and fine motor skills or  giftedness, to name a few.

An approach that is warm and considerate towards parents and child and which guides the family to work together for the good of the child.

Before your first visit , you will have the opportunity to share your concerns about your child as well as any relevant information. You will also be given a questionnaire, which you can bring in a printed version during the first visit, in order to learn more about your child's needs and their history.

During your first visit , and subsequent visits, various examinations will be carried out to check how the child moves in his body, how his skills, tone and reflexes are developing. Its exams are fun and quick and allow you to discover which primitive reflexes need to be worked on in your child in order to allow him the best possible development.

Then, gentle, rhythmic rockings and other forms of activity will be offered and explored with your child, on the treatment table or on the floor, to determine a menu of activities that they enjoy and that are suitable for them at the same time. targeting its challenges. We will practice them together  in session so that you feel comfortable repeating them at home at the ideal pace of once a day for a few minutes.

Some tips : It is recommended that the child wear loose, soft and light clothing to be able to move easily. I recommend that the last meal be taken  about 1 to 2 hours before the RV, that the child has not consumed sugar but has drunk water just before. To facilitate concentration during a session, I also recommend that the child has moved or walked enough before the meeting, if possible outside in order to fill up with oxygen at the same time. Daily physical exercise in nature is essential for the development of a good capacity for concentration and this practice has many other benefits so I strongly encourage you to set up this practice in parallel with the work that we will do together. It is recommended to breastfeed babies before the consultation when possible.

CUSTOMERS AND PRICES

Unique service in the world specializing in the integration of reflexes through rhythmic movements RMT and the Sensitive Eco-educational Approach

Children of all ages are welcome, and babies from the age of 2 or 3 months.

The consultations are repeated once a month and last 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the receptivity of the child, my observations and the needs of the session.

The duration of the follow-up varies according to the goals and needs of the child and is discussed throughout the process, which does not require anything. It is usually a few months to 1 year or sometimes longer for in-depth work or follow-up throughout childhood. One thing is certain, it is always you who choose!

The rate now becomes a monthly plan and now sits at $ 150, which includes:

- Work by movements with the child in consultation in person

- A meeting of 20 to 30 minutes in ZOOM per month without the child to share the information related to the consultation and the reflexes of your child and guide you in the application of the movements at home.

A SERIOUS COMMITMENT

For lasting results

Parents' commitment  represents its guarantee of success. Your child cannot do it on their own and they are counting on you. Do not be afraid; Mother Nature's Koala approach is caring and positive and comes about in pleasure, consent, discovery and it will deeply nourish the bond between you and your child. It is an approach that aims to give you back the feeling of having power over the situation your child is going through.

Commitment in distance or in person session: You will have to work in session with me first because you must learn how to guide your child in his practice at home. Remember to bring a bottle of water and turn off your phone. You can take pictures or videos of your child as a reminder.

Commitment at home:

1) You will be essential in helping your child complete the menu of activities and movements learned during the session, which will only take a few minutes a day (on average only 5 to 10 minutes). Parents and children usually report that they really enjoy this moment of pleasure, sweetness and complicity. Some do it before the evening sleep, others before leaving for school or daycare or before evening homework. In addition, certain movements are applicable in different daily activities, for example to reduce stress or increase attention. Because yes, the results will be sustainable over time if you practice them for a sufficient period of time. It's like any learning. This practice really helps create new neural connections and therefore new skills and competencies in all areas of your child's development. But you, as parents, need to make a commitment to your child and find those few minutes a day. If you don't think you can do it, the approach probably isn't for you.

2) The other aspect of engagement at home is more holistic and concerns the living environment. It is also a very important factor in the success of the program and in seeing lasting results appear over time. You will be guided in the discovery of the real needs of the child and the lessons will be offered to you, for example how to aim for a complementary feeding to neural work, the type of toys that nourish the neural development, the hobbies or the sports to be privileged , which ones to avoid, what to think of screens, how to create an enjoyable rhythm and routine with the discipline of forms, how to promote sleep or ancestral education practices that work and give children a deep sense of security and connection in the world. Everything is designed with a nature orientation and aimed at optimal health for the whole family.

In conclusion, the Approach  Koala brings a complete ecosystem vision of your child's situation to allow deep and positive change for him and promote his full development.
